Charity Grant Program

The Rotary Club of West Jacksonville solicits applications from 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations for creative community service projects directed to the needs and quality of life in Jacksonville.

From youth to seniors, sports to education, health issues and human services, and beyond - the goal of West Jacksonville Rotary is to provide financial support to creative community service projects directed to the needs and quality of life in Jacksonville.

West Jacksonville Rotary is particularly interested in supporting three to five smaller projects with specific immediate goals.

West Jacksonville Rotary will determine the number and size of grants awarded.

The collective amount to be awarded in 2008 is about $12,000.

Interested parties should complete the grant application available at http://www.westjaxrotary.org/clubinfo/project_details/2008CharityGrantApplication.doc

and provide

  • a summary of program objectives,
  • expected result of funds requested,
  • documentation of 501(c)(3) status
  • and a copy of the organization’s most recent audited financial statement.

Applications should be postmarked or delivered by March 31, 2008.

Grant recipients will be announced in May of 2008.

Grants will be awarded at a Rotary meeting prior to June 30, 2008.
